Whew...only noon and the day has been a little nutty. But my story to tell is humorous, I think.
So I went to Wal-Mart this morning. I needed thread to match my bridesmaid dress for my friend Tiffany's wedding. So being the common sense kind of girl I am, I took the dress with me into the store. It looks like this.
Now, just to clarify, that is not me modeling the dress. I know it may have confused some of you, but nope, not me.
Now to give a little more detail, the dress is in the original bag, with the original tags still attached. So I got my matching thread and headed to the checkout counter. The checkout lady looked at me a little strangely and then said, "Well, I am guessing you didn't get that dress here." I said, "Nope." So I paid for my thread and got my bag and receipt and headed for the door.
I was minding my own business and thinking about my next item on my to do list and heading to the sliding exit doors, and the door greeter comes up to me and asks to see my receipt. So I showed her my bag and my thread and the receipt. She said the dress wasn't included on the receipt. I said, "Nope, I didn't get it here." And she did not believe my story. I was like are you kidding. You think I purchased this dress at Wally World. Seriously, I think not. Finally, after showing her the original tags on the dress and a lecture on bringing things into the store without getting them tagged, she let me pass. She told me, "you can't bring items into the store without getting them stamped as you enter because we don't want to have to charge you for them." Seriously...
Anyway, I finally made it to my car with my never-going-to-Wally-again dress and my 1 dollar and 84 cent thread. Thanks Wally for you never-ending pleasures.
