Yep, we went on a date. To get one of my favorite things...ice cream.
But instead of just us, we went on a date with Ava. We went to Braum's. We got congratulatory ice cream on her being a BIG SISTER. We think she probably had fun.

Ahhhh....can you smell it? The scent of fresh deep fried sugary goodness. It lingers in Newton on Sixth Street. Everyday its there. Yum...its a great smell...DONUTS.
We went, for the first time ever, to Drubers to get donuts at 11:30 pm on Friday night. We couldn't believe it - we had to wait in line for donuts at 11:30 pm...
Even the Red Hat Society was there!
But oh it was worth the wait - fresh, warm donuts on a chilly night. I also had a carton of milk. Its been a while since I have had milk out of a carton. It was as good as I remember.
Maybe we'll go again. As you can see, we were pretty excited.
