full of grown-ups, I feel like this:
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five. (Groucho Marx)
Sometimes its a stinky feeling. But I get that deer in the headlights look or a blank stare more often than not in a room full of grown-ups.
Usually in a room full of kids, that laugh right along with me.
Maybe that's why I've had several kiddos come up to me at Youth Group and ask me if Ryan and I are married.
Seriously...its a relatively common question.
My answer is always "Well, duh. Of course. Why?"
I think every time the response has been.
"Oh, well, you two just don't seem serious enough to be married."
Or
"Oh, well, you two seem too fun to be married."
I don't know if that's a compliment or not, but I am going with yes.
I hope that kids are still saying that after 20 years.
