This is the question in our household tonight.
"What's for dinner?"
We are at a loss. I even tried to be prepared tonight. I got some leftovers out of the freezer. Yep, little miss prepared right? All I had to do tonight before class was heat them up. So easy.
Wrong.
Insert a really dumb dog story here.
Yep that's right.
Our adorable pooch ate the entire freezer bag full of chili that was sitting in the sink.
Now I know you are thinking, didn't you learn that lesson with the ground beef scenario?
I did. But for some reason my rational was that well this is in a ziploc - there's no way he'll even know its in there. He didn't even see me take it out of the freezer. There's no way he can smell that. Right?!?
Wrong.
I was lured into a false sense of security by his excellent behavior over the last month or so and by the ziploc bag actually being air/smell tight. Dumb bags. Dumb dog. Seriously.
Yep, he ate the entire gallon size bag of chili.
Now cut to Lindsay wondering what in the world are we going to do for supper.
Well I guess the lesson is officially, officially learned.
Life Lesson #1,832 of billions: No food is ever safe left on the counter or in the sink. period.
PS sorry no pictures. There really wasn't any evidence left.
